Ahh the joys of having professional grade cameras and knowing how to use them. Gives me a lot of ideas for photos I want to take 🙂
Few tips on night time photography…
- Stability is key: bring a tripod or set the camera down on a stable surface
- I would recommend a two second timer for the photo. This way your hand pressing the button will not shake the camera
- You need to let light into your camera for a longer period of time
-Exposure: turn the exposure time up, especially for stationary objects or moving objects that you want to blur
-Aperture: you might want to turn this down to avoid overexposing any stationary lights. If you are trying to shoot something in motion however and don’t want it to blur, make this large - Generally go with a higher ISO to compensate for the lack of light. But continually check to make sure that they aren’t getting grainy, which happens when a too high ISO is used in low light
