Finally, an update!

Hello internet 🙂

So it has been quite a while since I last updated… Things have been quite busy recently. Right now the biggest thing on my plate is figuring what I will be up to after college. Looking for a job, especially in this economy is getting harder. I recently got interviewed about it here. I just made a linkedin account to help me in my search. So far, I have been really impressed by how it was easy to set up and how useful it is. There are also so many people on it already.

With my last long Christmas break flying by there is still so much that I wanted to get done. I am still trying to keep up my game site. Another thing that is long overdue for an update. I recently added a social feature using google friend connect though. Seems to be working nicely, although too few of my users make use of it.

Hopefully my next post will not take me so long. Thanks for visiting!

Cooking time!

So I thought I would help out my mom and cook dinner for my family the other day. The following is a little recap (mainly of the fries).

Ingredients:

Fries

  • potatoes
  • canola oil
  • pepper
  • salt
  • grill seasoning

Sandwich
Salad

Directions:

So you start with some potatoes. Clean them up. Then slice them any size you want. The bigger they are, the softer they come out and the thinner they are, the more crispy they are. Put the slices in a bag. Pour in about 3/4 cup of your fav cooking oil (I used canola) and then add your spices (I used a whole variety, McCormick grilling stuff, pepper, salt, and others from our spice cabinet. Then mush the bag around to spread it. Lay them all out on a pan and bake them at 400 degrees for about 40 min (to get them crispy). Add salad to the meal to make it more healthy. Put chips and salsa out for when the fam is waiting for their sandwich order to be ready. Get out the spread of sandwich makings. Take out the home cooked french fries when the desired crispiness has been reached. Get a sandwich ready to go on the grill. And voila! The fries are all ready to go and you’ve got yourself a delicious dinner. And that’s a wrap on the making a meal for my family! I hope you enjoyed it 😀

MadLib Generator!

This semester I have been taking a programming class. I have really been finding it interesting too! Most of what we have been working on is useful, mainly because they are stepping stones to even better and more useful things you can do in C.

However, I was procrastinating the other day, so made this cool program. I uploaded it to here so people could try it out if curious. What this program does is generate a MadLib using words you enter. It is one of the simplest programs to make is only32 KB (that is 0.032 MB). So far I have only made two stories you can stick words into, but I plan to update it soon and make more.

Anagrams!

I have no clue how I ended up here, but I found this awesome site where you can type in any word and it will generate anagrams for it, awesome, eh? I typed in my name of course and I got interesting things like Heavens Line, or Inhale Seven or Inhales Even, etc… There are also strange ones that I think I might use when Diablo III comes out such as Vale Shine En.

Despite the endless appleal of typing in random names and such into the anagram generator, the best part of the site was the hall of fame. This has some of the best anagrams ever! Such as:

Dormitory = Dirty Room

Schoolmaster = The classroom

Elvis = Lives

Listen = Silent

Clint Eastwood = Old West Action

Madam Curie = Radium came

The eyes = They see

The Morse Code = Here Come Dots

Butterfly = Flutter-by

Funeral = Real Fun

The Railroad Train = Hi! I Rattle and Roar

The United States of America = Attaineth its cause, freedom

The Public Art Galleries = Large Picture Halls, I Bet

I have been asked a couple of time to share engineering materials that I found, so here they are:

2 – units conversion factors

3 – mathematics

4 – mechanics of materials

5 – engineering probability and statistics

6 – statics

7 – dynamics

8 – fluid dynamics

9 – thermodynamics

10 – heat transfer

11 – transport phenomena

12 – biology

13 – chemistry

14 – materials of science structure of matter

15 – computer spreadsheets

16 – measurement and controls

17 – engineering economics

18 – ethics

19 – chemical engineering

20 – civil engineering

21 – environmental engineering

22 – electrical and computer engineering

23 – industrial engineering

24 – mechanical engineering

The whole thing

First Post

Hello world! This is my first post in my first blog. This is not only going to be a great interesting blog, it is, as it says somewhat of a portal into my life. As of right now I am creating this website maily for family and friends. A place to share. I will try to keep this up to date with art, photos and games. The games are also for me to tell the truth. I got tired of all of the adds, so I thought that I would help.
